Motorhead Announce New Album ‘Bad Magic’
Motorhead just continue to churn out blistering rock albums like a finely tuned machine, and their newest disc will be titled Bad Magic. The band confirmed the news via their website and social networks. The disc, their 22nd studio album overall, will arrive on Aug. 28 through UDR Music.
According to the press release on the disc, Bad Magic has “the fiercest rhythms and riffs that’ll beat your ears into submission this year” and is “a massive kick in the teeth for anyone who dared believe it might be otherwise.”
The disc reportedly includes such standout rockers as “Thunder and Lightning,” the especially loud “Teach ‘Em How to Bleed,” the driving beats of “Choking on Your Screams,” the punk-infused “Electricity” and the attitude-filled “Shoot Out All Your Lights.” You’ll also find Motorhead taking it down a notch for the ballad “Until the End” and Lemmy Kilmister and crew also rock a gritty cover of the Rolling Stones‘ “Sympathy for the Devil.” The album also includes a guest appearance from Queen guitarist Brian May, who lends his skills to a track called “The Devil.”
Bad Magic was produced at NRG studios with the band’s longtime producer Cameron Webb and follows on the heels of their successful 2013 disc, Aftershock. The disc will be available in standard CD, limited edition box set, Digi Pack, vinyl and digital formats. Stay tuned for ordering information and keep an eye on the UDR online music shop for additional Motorhead merch and music packages.
