The American Legion Post 43 in La Grande is serving up hamburgers every Tuesday night from 5PM – 7PM. Stop in for the hamburgers, and enjoy live music too. The public is welcome to come down to 301 Fir Street in La Grande each week to participate.
Every Monday through Friday the Community Connection Senior Dining Center in Baker City serves up lunch at 11:30AM. There is a suggested donation of $4.50 for persons 60 and over, and a cost of $6.25 for persons under 60. Stop by Community Connection of Baker County, located at 2810 Cedar St. in Baker City to take a look at the menu and see what else is offered.
Wildflower Lodge Assisted Living in La Grande holds their Dementia Support Groups on the first and third Wednesday of each month. The Dementia Support Groups are free to attend, and the next one will take place at 12PM on Wednesday, November 15th, at Wildflower Lodge. Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church is holding a Holiday Bazaar this Saturday, from 9AM – 2PM. The Bazaar will be held at 4th and K Ave. in La Grande. There will be a cookie stroll, angel loft, raffles, and more. Breakfast and lunch will also be served, and everyone is invited.
Cook Memorial Library is hosting a Coloring Therapy event for adults on Saturday, from 10AM – 12PM. Coloring pages and materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. The EOU Women’s Basketball Team will be hosting a Kids Night Out this Saturday evening at Quinn Coliseum on the EOU Campus. From 6PM – 9:30PM, kids in grades K-8 can participate in fun activities, including basketball, soccer, hockey, dodge ball, dancing, rock climbing, and more. Concessions will be available for sale, and all areas will be well supervised with medical staff on site. Kids participating in the Kids Night Out will need to wear proper shoes and comfortable clothing for recreational play, and must be signed in and out at the door. The Cove Sportsman Club will be holding the annual Cove Turkey Shoot this Sunday. The event will begin at 9AM, with inside games and food served too. All shooters are welcome.
ESA Delta Epsilon will be hosting a Holiday Market event, on Saturday, November 25th, at the Blue Mountain Conference Center in La Grande. This Holiday Market will be open from 9AM – 3PM, and will feature many crafts and homemade items for sale. Snacks and food will also be available, and admission at the door is a canned food or diapers donation to the Department of Human Services Emergency Food Bank.
